A complete macro & workout tracker.
A coach that reads your numbers.
Log food, training, and weight for free — calendar, streaks, and trends included. Then add an AI coach that reads your real numbers, remembers what you’ve told it, and adjusts your plan. Nothing changes unless you tap Apply.
Three free tools — and a coach who reads them.
The coach is the AI layer that turns your numbers into a plan that adjusts with you. The other three are the free tracker that feeds it — food, training, and progress.

A grounded coach that reads your real numbers.
Coach & ProEvery number is computed before the coach speaks. The coach never guesses — and never forgets a week you’ve logged. It reads what you actually logged, proposes specific changes, and lets you Apply them with one tap.
- Reads what you actually logged and proposes plan changes you Apply with one tap
- Remembers you between conversations — and shows you exactly what it remembers
- The Weekly Review — your coach reads your week, every week you log
- The Daily Check-in — every morning it has already read yesterday (Pro)
- Proactive nudges — and it can log on your behalf
- Starts already knowing you: onboarding ends with an optional step where you brief it in your own words
- Built on Claude, the AI assistant from Anthropic · grounded voice, never shaming
- Safety guardrails against under-eating
Honestly: if all you want is a clean tracker, stay on Free — it’s complete and it never expires. The coach is for the day you want the thinking shared.
At 183 lbs lifting 4x a week, recomp is realistic — you’re right in the muscle-sparing range. Your 2,800 kcal target supports a controlled deficit, not a crash.
So where to start, concretely:
- Log everything you eat for the next 7 days, even rough estimates. That alone changes everything.
- Hit protein first each day — aim for that 189g. You’re averaging 72g, so that’s the biggest gap.
- Keep lifting 4x/week as you are.
Once I can see a real week of intake, we’ll adjust calories to dial the fat-loss rate to something sustainable.
Want me to set up a 4-day training split in your Train tab to match how you’re lifting?
Done — here’s a 4-day upper/lower built around your lifts:
Upper A
Lower A
Upper B
Lower B
It remembers you. And it shows you exactly what it remembers.
A coach you have to re-explain yourself to every week isn’t a coach. Zabeau’s keeps what you tell it — and keeps the receipts somewhere you can read them.
Remembers what you told it
- Your diet pattern, allergies and intolerances, and any injuries you’re working around
- The equipment you own, the days and times you can train, how long you’ve been lifting
- The foods and the lifts you like — and the ones you don’t
It won’t invent an allergy
- It can pick up that you like oats. It will never assume an allergy or an injury
- Constraints are saved only when you say them yourself
- When it does save something, a line in the chat names what it remembered
“What your coach knows” — with a Forget button
- Settings lists every fact your coach is holding, in plain language
- Tap Forget on any one and it’s gone from the coach everywhere
- That button keeps working on Free — and after you cancel
What your coach can see
Three plain answers, in the order that matters.
What you logged
Your food — down to the meal and the amount — your training sets, your weigh-ins and weight trend, your streak, your staple foods, and your recent steps, sleep and meal timing.
Measurements & scan numbers
Body measurements and body-composition scan results stay off until you switch them on in Settings. Numbers only — never the photos they came from.
Your photos
No meal photo, no scan photo, not even a link to one is ever handed to the coach. It knows your age; it never sees your date of birth.
Memory fills in through coach conversations, so it grows on Coach and Pro. The “What your coach knows” screen and its Forget buttons work on every tier — including after you cancel. We built the delete button before we built the pitch.

Hit 140g protein every single day.
Photo → macros on CoachMacro tracking that fits how you actually eat — scan a barcode for free, snap a photo and let it count the calories on Coach, search the entire USDA food database, or pull from a library that already knows your staples.
- Scan any barcode — free, never a paid add-on (powered by Open Food Facts)
- Search the entire USDA food database — also free
- Saved meals — log your regulars in one tap
- 308 everyday foods pre-loaded with real-life portions — pick, tap, logged
- A Verified tag on lab-sourced foods, so a measured number never gets mistaken for an estimate
- Three macro-split presets — Balanced, high-protein, lower-carb — refit every gram target in one tap
- Forgot yesterday? Pick the day on the calendar and log to it — the whole app follows, one tap back to today
- Photo → macros: snap your plate and it counts the calories (Coach)
The hard part made easy. Logging is the habit that decides recomposition. Zabeau makes it a few seconds, not a chore.
Honest about the numbers. Foods from the built-in library and USDA carry a Verified tag — they came from lab data. Community barcode entries and anything you type yourself don’t. You always know which numbers were measured and which were estimated.
Your split, your rules — logged in seconds between sets.
AI routine edits on CoachBuild the split you actually run — Upper/Lower or your own. Then start the session and put the phone down: log the set, the rest timer starts itself, and it tells you when the next one’s due. Next session opens with your target already filled in.
- Editable routines (e.g. Upper/Lower) you can reshape anytime
- 72 exercises, each with a one-line form cue — plus your own custom moves
- Log a set and the rest timer starts itself — ±15s or skip, and it still alerts you if you switched apps
- Plate calculator with a warm-up ramp — kg or lb plates, your bar weight remembered
- Live session volume as you lift; finishing the session stamps the duration
- Progression hints — the next session opens with your target already filled in
- AI routine edits — change one thing, keep the rest (Coach)

See the trend, not just today.
Body scan import on CoachOne noisy weigh-in means nothing. Zabeau plots the curve so you can see real progress through the day-to-day water swings — and keeps the rest of the day beside it: water, plus steps and last night’s sleep against goals you set yourself.
- Weight + water logging, fast
- Steps and sleep, logged by hand — with goals in Daily Targets that grade the day
- Calendar adherence, streaks, and trends
- Curved line charts that smooth out the noise
- Beat a goal and the card reads past 100% — a good day is never flagged as a mistake
- Body-composition scan import (Coach)
- Works fully offline — log on a plane, sync later
Eight things the coach actually does
Every one works from the real numbers you logged — and nothing sticks that you can’t Apply, undo, or dismiss.
Builds your training program
- Designs a multi-day split around your goal
- Arrives as a card you Apply with one tap
- Lands straight in your Train tab, ready to log
Edits one day, surgically
- Swap, add, or remove a movement — or change sets and reps
- Shows a clear before → after diff first
- Never disturbs your other days or your history
Sets your calorie & protein targets
- Proposes numbers from what you actually logged
- One tap to Apply, or dismiss it
- A built-in safe floor keeps it from going too low
Logs food & water on request
- Tell it what you had — it logs it instantly
- Handles meals and water the same way
- Every entry has an Undo button
Fixes macros you already logged
- “That soup was actually 1000 cal” — it corrects the entry
- Edits in place, no deleting and re-adding
- Your day’s totals update instantly
Knows & remembers your foods
- Recognizes branded and restaurant foods, and estimates them
- Logs each item of a combo separately
- Saves them to your foods for one-tap next time
Reads your measurements — if you allow it
- Your measurements and body-scan numbers, on top of the weight trend it already sees
- Only when you turn sharing on — off by default
- Numbers only, never your photos
Coaches safely, never clinically
- Never diagnoses or prescribes
- Region-aware eating-disorder & crisis guardrails
- Treats food as fuel — no “good” or “bad,” no guilt
The coach is $12.99/mo — and the tracker under it stays free forever, subscribed or not. Compare plans →
It proposes. You approve.
When the coach suggests a change to your targets or routine, it arrives as a clear card. Apply it, or dismiss it — nothing moves without you.

The details you only notice when they’re missing
None of these will sell you the app. All of them decide whether you’re still using it six months from now.
You’re never dropped into an empty app
The first time you open Zabeau, a short guided tour walks each tab — where food goes, where the plate calculator lives, where your trend line is. It runs once and never nags you again.
Light or dark, your call
Follow your phone, or pin Zabeau to light or dark on its own. Both are designed, not inverted — cream paper by day, ink by night.
kg or lb — everywhere
One switch flips every weight in the app: logging, steppers, workout weights, the plate calculator, even the bar. Your coach speaks the same unit you do.
Leaving is one tap
Settings → Export my data hands you your whole history as a file — with download links for your photos that stay live for an hour — straight to your phone’s share sheet. No email to support, no waiting on us.
Leaving is deliberately easy. That’s the point — staying should be a choice you keep making, not a door you can’t find.
Private by design, not by policy
Zabeau is built so your data stays with you — not promised in a policy you’ll never read. In plain terms:
No ads — ever
Zabeau is funded by its Coach subscription, never by advertising. Nothing you log is monetized against you.
We never sell your data
Your food, training, and weight logs live offline-first on your device and sync only to your own private account. We never sell or share them.
Food photos are never used to train AI models
Photos reach our AI gateway only to estimate that one meal — and only after you turn AI on. They are never used to train any model.
Export or delete everything, anytime
One tap in Settings hands you your whole history as a file — with one-hour download links for your photos — through your phone’s own share sheet. Deleting your account is just as easy, and it takes everything with it. No email to support, no waiting on us.
Built to be trusted with your body.
Health data is sensitive. Zabeau is built so the most private numbers you own stay that way.
Zero health-data telemetry
No health data is ever included in crash logs — telemetry is scrubbed before it leaves your phone.
Delete anytime
In-app account deletion — and a one-tap export that hands you the whole history first. Your data stays yours either way.
Safety first
Region-aware eating-disorder and crisis resources, plus guardrails against under-eating.
